The John Golden Theatre Experience

The John Golden Theatre is one of four entertainment complexes designed by Herbert J. Krapp and constructed by Chanin Realty and Construction Company, though it is the smallest of the four. When you first approach the facade, you’ll notice four symmetrical glass and aluminum doors, inviting you inside with a plaque noting the theater’s name and a vintage marquee stating the current playbill. Above the doors, you’ll notice three brick arches, with the theater’s Golden logo sticking out from the center arch.

Once you enter the theater, more decorative columns, arches, and red velvet curtains will enrobe your senses. Most of the theater’s seating is on the orchestra floor, where you can sit close to the action. You can enjoy direct views of the stage from the limited balcony seats as you sit beneath the interesting geometric patterns on the ceiling. 

The interior of the John Golden Theatre features a coved, decorative ceiling, twisting columns, arched pathways, geometric details, lighted sconces, and many more intricate details.
